Turbine Technology Services Corporation to Deliver Presentation on Plantwide Controls Solutions at Automation Seminar

February 4, 2013

TTS’ Kevin Giroux will speak on the topic of implementing a single plantwide control solution for advanced class gas turbines in combined cycle plants.

Turbine Technology Services Corporation (TTS), a full-service gas turbine engineering services firm based in Orlando, Florida, is scheduled to deliver an innovative presentation at the Automation for Power Generation seminar to showcase the company’s core competencies and unique capabilities in the implementation of a common platform plantwide controls solution for advanced class Gas Turbine Combined Cycle Plants.

Kevin Giroux, Senior Project Engineer at TTS

Kevin Giroux, Senior Project Engineer at TTS, is scheduled to deliver a presentation on the implementation of a single plantwide control solution for advanced class gas turbines combined cycle plants.

Kevin Giroux, Senior Project Engineer at TTS, will use his experience in automation engineering to deliver a presentation on the implementation of a single plantwide control solution for advanced class gas turbines combined cycle plants.

The TTS presentation will demonstrate the convergence of traditional OEM “Black Box” controls, Distributed Control Systems platforms (DCS) and traditional Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) technology into the current technology – Process Automation Controllers (PACs) and fully integrated systems PlantPAx™.

Recent advances in automation technology have paved the way for more effective ways to optimize and maintain power generation equipment in power plants across the globe—and TTS is an active contributor to the industry with their advanced gas turbine products and services.

Kevin will be explaining how TTS’ application of Plantpax technology and its deep understanding of rotating equipment controls—Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines and Generators—results in an effective technical and commercial solution to challenges in Plant Wide controls.

The Automation for Power Generation seminar, which is organized by Rockwell Automation, will cover common control solutions, energy savings and data capture and reporting, as well as way to increase power equipment efficiency using proven integrated, plantwide strategies.

Attended by power plant managers, gas turbine engineers and technicians, the automation seminar aims at providing power generation professionals with an opportunity to learn from companies like TTS, whose knowledge and experience actively contributes to best practices in the industry.

Additional topics in the seminar include the changing landscape in power generation, condition monitoring of critical equipment, integrated balance-of-plant operations, and automation solutions for renewable energy, among many others.

Topics covered will be of specific interest to individuals tasked with managing automation equipment in power plants—including directors of power production, generation unit plant managers, utilities managers, and engineers and engineering managers in the power generation industry.

Registration for this seminar is available online, by visiting Rockwell Automation’s website at http://campaign.rockwellautomation.com/PowerGenSeminarFL.
